This land is across a county road from that owned by Andrew Bowers. There may have been a misprint in the court record. Name could be spelled as follows: Aucker, Anker, Acker or Ocker. In the 1850 census(845) a male, Peter Acker is listed as living with family and could be a brother. Family members remember attending Acker family reunions in the 1920s and 1930s.
