48. Anthony⁵ Acker (Casper⁴, Peter³, Casper², Jacob?¹) was born on June 23, 1793.⁽⁵⁷⁰⁾ Jacobs has birthdate as June 27, 1798. This is too close to his brother, Joseph S. Acker's birthdate of March 5, 1798 to be true. Anthony died about 1835 to 1837 in Bloom Twp, Fairfield Co, OH, at age unknown. Family History says that Anthony's wife Elizabeth continued on to Henry County, IN after his death and homesteaded her first winter there in a temporary shelter. Since she appears to have arrived in Henry County, IN by the winter of 1835, that would place Anthony's death year as 1835. This time of move is based on the birth of the youngest daughter of this couple. The infant which was not named lived for 10 days and is buried in Painter Cemetery, Henry Co, IN. It is unlikely that the body would have been carried by the recently widowed mother to the new residence. Hence it is reasonable to assume that both the birth and the death took place in Indiana after the relocation and after the death of the father.

He married Elizabeth Sarah Ocker on October 21, 1817 in Rockingham County, VA.⁽⁵⁷¹⁾ The following individual is also linked to this event: Wm Bryan (minister). Elizabeth was born on February 25, 1793 in VA.⁽⁵⁷²⁾ She was listed as 60 in the 1860 census, a seven year disconnect. Elizabeth was the daughter of Peter Acker Jr. and Anna Maria Driver.

Elizabeth died on January 17, 1864 in Henry County, IN, at age 70.⁽⁵⁷³⁾ Her body was interred in the Painter Cemetery after January 17, 1864 in Fall Creek Twp, Henry Co, IN. Her gravestone reads: "ELIZABETH wife of ANTHONY ACKER DIED JAN. 17, 1864 AGED 70 Y 10 MOS & 24 D. She has gone to a mansion of rest; From a region of sorrow and pain; To the glorious land of the blest; Where she never shall suffer again."

When Elizabeth was age 24 and Anthony Acker was age 24 they became the parents of Mary M. Acker on December 10, 1817 in VA.⁽⁵⁷⁴⁾ When Elizabeth was age 26 and Anthony Acker was age 25 they became the parents of Samuel Ocker on May 1, 1819 in VA.⁽⁵⁷⁵⁾ When Elizabeth was age 27 and Anthony Acker was age 27 they became the parents of Peter Ocker on October 17, 1820 in VA.⁽⁵⁷⁶⁾ When Elizabeth was age 28 and Anthony Acker was age 28 they became the parents of John Ocker on November 15, 1821 in Rockingham County, VA.⁽⁵⁷⁷⁾ When Elizabeth was age 29 and Anthony Acker was age 29 they became the parents of Jacob Ocker on January 25, 1823 in VA.⁽⁵⁷⁸⁾ When Elizabeth was age 31 and Anthony Acker was age 31 they became the parents of Henry Acker on August 3, 1824 in VA.⁽⁵⁷⁹⁾ When Elizabeth was age 32 and Anthony Acker was age 32 they became the parents of David Ocker on October 25, 1825 in VA.⁽⁵⁸⁰⁾ When Elizabeth was age 33 and Anthony Acker was age 33 they became the parents of Daniel Ocker on December 29, 1826 in VA.⁽⁵⁸¹⁾ When Elizabeth was age 35 and Anthony Acker was age 35 they became the parents of Christian Ocker on October 26, 1828 in VA.⁽⁵⁸²⁾ When Elizabeth was age 37 and Anthony Acker was age 36 they became the parents of Elizabeth Ocker on April 2, 1830 in VA.⁽⁵⁸³⁾ When Elizabeth was age 38 and Anthony Acker was age 38 they became the parents of Joseph Ocker on November 14, 1831 in VA.⁽⁵⁸⁴⁾ When Elizabeth was age 40 and Anthony Acker was age 40 they became the parents of Ann Ocker on December 10, 1833 in VA.⁽⁵⁸⁵⁾ She moved to Henry Co, IN about 1835. Elizabeth was identified as the widow. Peter Acker of Virginia sent rent money that had been collected for the estate. The name is sometimes spelled Auker. The second Christian died on March 09, 1877 and married a Margaret /Surname unk/. This later date would correlate with the family history that the family left Virginia by 1835 and traveled to Indiana through Ohio. He married Julia Ann Mitchel on December 25, 1860 in Henry County, IN.⁽⁶²⁷⁾ Julia was born est 1839.
