Sophia Catherine⁷ Clevenger (Mary M.⁶ Acker, Anthony⁵, Casper⁴, Peter³, Casper², Jacob?¹) was born in Henry County, IN on April 27, 1848.⁽²⁴²⁹⁾ All of the James and Mary Clevenger children claimed birth in Delaware County, but other records indicate birth in Henry County. In any event, the parents lived almost adjacent to the line between the two counties. Sophia died on October 13, 1909 in Muncie, Delaware County, IN, at age 61. Her body was interred in the Beech Grove Cemetery Section B, Lot 77 on October 1909 in Muncie, Delaware County, IN.⁽²⁴³⁰⁾ The gravestone reads: "Mother, Sophia C. Skinner, 1848-1909."
