She married John Monroe Hale on August 30, 1872 in Henry County, IN.⁽²⁵⁵⁷⁾ John was born on October 8, 1848.⁽²⁵⁵⁸⁾ John was the son of Lafary Hale and Matilda Hazelton. When John was age 23 and Mary Miranda Ocker was age 21 they became the parents of Odessa Hale in 1872 in Henry County, IN.⁽²⁵⁵⁹⁾ When John was age 24 and Mary Miranda Ocker was age 22 they became the parents of Louisa Hale in 1873 in Henry County, IN.⁽²⁵⁶⁰⁾ When John was age 27 and Mary Miranda Ocker was age 24 they became the parents of Lora Alta Hale on October 19, 1875.⁽²⁵⁶¹⁾ He resided in Greensboro, Henry Co, IN before 1942.⁽²⁵⁶²⁾
