He married Sarah Franchier on October 14, 1866 in Howard County, IN.⁽⁴¹⁾ (Sarah Franchier is #3624.) Sarah was born in October 1844 in Parke Co, IN.⁽⁴²⁾ Sarah was the daughter of John B. Franchier and Sally Broills. Sarah died on February 28, 1922 in Alto, Howard County, IN, at age 77.⁽⁴³⁾ Her body was interred in the Prairieville Cemtery Section SE, Row 17, Lot 6 on March 2, 1922 in Prairie Township, Tipton County, IN.⁽⁴⁴⁾ The gravestone reads: "Sarah Berry, his wife, 1844-1922"
