His body was interred in the Beech Grove Cemetery Section H, Lot 91 after January 21, 1963 in Muncie, Delaware County, IN.⁽⁴⁶⁸⁾ The gravestone reads: "DeWitt, Fred S., 1896-1950."

He married Mabel Wonders est 1918 in Delaware County, IN. (Mabel Wonders is #63.) Mabel was born on July 11, 1897. Mabel was the daughter of Henry Wonders and Lottie M. Surname unk m of Mabel Wonders. Mabel died on June 8, 1933 in Muncie, Delaware County, IN, at age 35. Her body was interred in the Beech Grove Cemetery Section H, Lot 91 on June 11, 1933 in Muncie, Delaware County, IN.
