He married Nancy Belle Edwards on February 28, 1883 in Norborne Township, Carroll County, MO.⁽⁹⁶⁾ (Nancy Belle Edwards is #2573.) Nancy was born on November 11, 1861 in Carroll County, MO.⁽⁹⁷⁾ Nancy was the daughter of Owen Edwards and Elizabeth Mayden. Nancy died on February 6, 1936 in Trotter Township, Carroll County, MO, at age 74.⁽⁹⁸⁾ She died at 6:00 AM.

Her body was interred Providence Church on February 8, 1936 in Norborne Township, Carroll County, MO.⁽⁹⁹⁾ Nancy, as Charles Sanford Fair's wife, resided with him in Norborne Township, Carroll County, MO before 1904.⁽¹⁰⁰⁾ Nancy, as Charles Sanford Fair's wife, resided with him T53N, R24W of the 5th PM, in Trotter Township, Carroll County, MO in 1914.⁽¹⁰¹⁾ The farm was located in Township 53 North, Range 24 West of the 5th Prime Meridan; Section 22. The description is the SE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 and the NE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 for a total of 80 acres.

In Sarah Elizabeth Edwards's will on November 15, 1919 in Norborne Township, Carroll County, MO, Nancy was named as an heir. She was listed as a beneficiary in Sarah Elizabeth Edwards's will on August 22, 1931 in Carroll County, MO.⁽¹⁰²⁾ Her funeral was held on February 8, 1936 in Norborne Township, Carroll County, MO.⁽¹⁰³⁾

His funeral was held on March 4, 1949 in Carrollton, Carroll County, MO.⁽¹¹³⁾ The funeral and casket cost $1119.60.

Charles Sanford Fair and Nancy Belle Edwards had the following children:
