6. Mary Catherine² McElwee (Charles¹)⁽¹⁰⁴⁾ (#781) was born in Pennsylvania on January 15, 1844.⁽¹⁰⁵⁾ Mary died in 1881 in Miami County, IN, at age 37.⁽¹⁰⁶⁾ Her body was interred at the Skinner Cemetery in 1881 in Adams Township, Cass County, IN.⁽¹⁰⁷⁾

She married Silas Lowman on April 16, 1858 in Cass County, IN.⁽¹⁰⁸⁾ (Silas Lowman is #4112.) Silas was born est 1834. Silas died est July 7, 1930 in Miami County, IN, at age 96.⁽¹⁰⁹⁾ He drank 4 ounces of Carbolic acid and died of poisoning.

His body was interred in the Skinner Cemetery after July 7, 1930 in Cass County, IN.⁽¹¹⁰⁾ Silas was listed as the head of a family on the 1900 Census in Miami County, IN.⁽¹¹¹⁾ Silas was listed as the head of a family on the 1910 Census in Miami County, IN.⁽¹¹²⁾ Silas was listed as the head of a family on the 1920 Census in Miami County, IN.⁽¹¹³⁾

Mary Catherine McElwee and Silas Lowman had the following child:
