John2 Parr (William1, PeterA) (#13) was born in Leigh, Lancashire, England on September 8, 1876.(78) John died on June 16, 1953 in Muncie, Delaware County, IN, at age 76.(79) His body was interred in the Beech Grove Cemetery Section B, Lot 77 on June 19, 1953 in Muncie, Delaware County, IN.(80) The gravestone reads: "Parr; Sarah L., 1880-1953; John, 1876-1953 (Masonic Emblem)."

He married Sarah Lavina Skinner on March 11, 1903 in Muncie, Delaware County, IN.(81) (Sarah Lavina Skinner is #20.) Sarah was born on November 22, 1880 in Gaston, Delaware County, IN.(82) Sarah was the daughter of Calvin W. Skinner and Sophia Catherine Clevenger. Sarah died on January 5, 1953 in Muncie, Delaware County, IN, at age 72.(83) She died at 8:20 AM and was attended by O. A, Hall, M.D. Her cause of death was Carcinoma of Stomach. She had 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren at the time of her death. The death certificate incorrectly gave the date of burial as January 7, 1953.

Her body was interred in the Beech Grove Cemetery Section B, Lot 77 on January 8, 1953 in Muncie, Delaware County, IN.(84) The gravestone reads: "Parr; Sarah L., 1880-1953; John, 1876-1953 (Masonic Emblem)."

Her funeral was held on January 8, 1953 in Muncie, Delaware County, IN.(85) The funeral services were held at the Meeks Mortuary beginning at 1:30 PM. The services were performed by D. Ray Johnson.

John was employed at a Glass Factory as a gauffer in Streator, LaSalle County, IL on January 1, 1900. John was employed at a Glass Factory as a Glass Pressor in Muncie, Delaware County, IN on June 16, 1900.(86) Each of these individuals had been employed for two (2) months on June 16, 1900.

In the 1910 Census, John was listed as a head of household on April 21, 1910 in Alton, Madison County, IL.(87) John was employed at Glass Works as a machinist in Alton, Madison County, IL on April 21, 1910.(88) He had not been unemployed during the previous year.

John was a member of a Masonic Lodge in Winchester, Randolph County, IN.(89) John was a member of the First Baptist Church in Muncie, Delaware County, IN from 1919 til 1953.(90) John was employed at the Gear Company as a Machinist in Muncie, Delaware County, IN on January 6, 1920.(91) John was listed as the head of a family on the 1920 Census in Muncie, Delaware County, IN.(92) The address was 651 Madison Street.

John worked as a mechanic in Muncie, Delaware County, IN on August 21, 1926.(93) He resided 312 South Beacon, in Muncie, Delaware County, IN on May 3, 1941.(94) He resided in Muncie, Delaware County, IN on June 23, 1952.(95) John retired from Warner Gear in Muncie, Delaware County, IN before June 1953.(96) His funeral was held on June 19, 1953 in Muncie, Delaware County, IN.(97) Friends were able to call at the Meeks Mortuary after 2:00 PM on THursday, the 18th, and one hour before the services at First Baptist Church on the 19th.

John Parr and Sarah Lavina Skinner had the following children:

His body was interred in the Beech Grove Cemetery Section B, Lot 59 on July 7, 1926 in Muncie, Delaware County, IN.(100) The gravestone reads: "C. Richard Parr, 1924-1926."

His funeral was held on July 7, 1926 in Muncie, Delaware County, IN.(101)
