2. John² Small (George¹)⁽⁸²⁾ was born in VA on June 28, 1794.⁽⁸³⁾ His body was probably interred in the Archibald Small Cemetery Row 16, Lot 11 after 1870 in Jefferson Township, Tipton County, IN.⁽⁸⁴⁾ John's wife, Elizabeth, and several brothers are buried in the Archibald Small cemetery in Jefferson Township, Tipton County, IN. His last known residence in the 1870 census was on his daughter, Mary Ann Hershman's, farm in the same vicinty. Next to Elizabeth's burial spot in Row 16, Lot 10, of the Archibald Small cemetery there are two small pointed stones on which the writing can not be read. This may possibly be John's burial place.

He married Elizabeth Hendricks about 1814 in KY. Elizabeth was born on January 11, 1795 in KY.⁽⁸⁵⁾ (Additional notes for Elizabeth Hendricks⁽⁸⁶⁾) Elizabeth died on September 25, 1862 in Jefferson Township, Tipton County, IN, at age 67.⁽⁸⁷⁾ Her body was interred in the Archibald Small Cemetery Row 16, Lot 11 after September 25, 1862 in Ekin, Tipton Co, IN.⁽⁸⁸⁾ The gravestone reads: "Elizabeth, wife of John Small, d.
