When Joe was age 21 and Virginia Alice Shertzer was age 20 they became the parents of Richard Lee Small on September 23, 1944 in Bloomington, Monroe County, IN. When Joe was age 23 and Virginia Alice Shertzer was age 22 they became the parents of Edward William Small on September 13, 1946 in Lawrence, Douglass County, KS. When Joe was age 26 and Virginia Alice Shertzer was age 25 they became the parents of Janet Ellen Small on July 23, 1949 in Kansas. When Joe was age 28 and Virginia Alice Shertzer was age 27 they became the parents of John Howard Small on June 26, 1951 in Liberal, Seward County, KS. When Joe was age 32 and Virginia Alice Shertzer was age 31 they became the parents of James Frederick Small on June 17, 1955 in Jeffersonville, Clark County, IN. When Joe was age 34 and Virginia Alice Shertzer was age 33 they became the parents of Susan Louise Small on July 3, 1957. When Joe was age 39 and Virginia Alice Shertzer was age 39 they became the parents of Barbara Ann Small on November 25, 1962. He resided in Edwardsville, Madison County, IL on June 28, 1968. He resided 720 Randle Street, in Edwardsville, Madison County, IL before April 7, 1969.
